  • 2017 Kokang Region “Cloud Mountain, Old Tree” Raw Pu-erh Tea Cake From the high, mist-covered mountains of Kokang, Myanmar, this raw (sheng) Pu-erh captures both the wild energy of ancient tea trees and the subtle grace of its unique terroir. Bordering Yunnan Province, the Kokang region shares the same Camellia sinensis var. assamica cultivar found in famous Chinese Pu-erhs, yet the teas here develop their own personality — delicate, floral, and fruit-kissed, with a soft vibrancy that lingers on the palate. Pressed in Spring 2017 from old-tree leaves, this tea has rested into a beautifully balanced cup: a deep orange liquor with aromas of wildflowers, honeyed fruit, and fresh mountain air. Each sip reveals layers of floral sweetness and gentle bitterness — refined, never overpowering — offering both immediate enjoyment and the potential for further aging and transformation. A tea for those who appreciate the living, evolving art of Pu-erh.

We have 4 teas in this set with 1 ounce of Three Cranes Hei Cha, 1 Pu-erh in Tangerine, 1 ounce Saiqing loose leaf Pu-erh, and 6 Pu-erh Tou Cha. Perfect gift for your aged tea lover. Feel good knowing that you are getting your tea from a certified tea specialist since 2009 from the Specialty Tea Institute in New York City who is masterfully sourcing the teas from the farms. No candies, no sugar, and no flavorings added to my teas. With each box you'll receive: 4 different loose leaf teas: Three Cranes Hei Cha, Pu-erh in a Tangerine, Saiqing loose leaf Pu-erh, and Pu-erh Tou Cha. Each tea will be around 1 ounce for around 4 ounces total or about 40 to 50 cups of tea (pu-erh in tangerine and pu-erh tou cha are not exactly 1 ounce each, but as close as can be).
