Unforgettable Moments in Sichuan: The Shouting Ceremony and Mingwei Facilities
During our recent visit to Sichuan Province, we had the extraordinary opportunity to experience the traditional Shouting Ceremony and tour the impressive Mingwei garden and production facility, both conveniently located near each other.
The Shouting Ceremony was truly a sight to behold. Though my photos hardly capture the scale, we were greeted by thousands of enthusiastic locals. The energy was electric, with crowds lining our route and creating an atmosphere of genuine welcome that’s difficult to convey through pictures alone.
Yu Lu, the Vice President of Export Foodstuff for the Chinese government is in some of these pictures. Despite her high-ranking position, she was remarkably approachable and engaging during our conversation.
This memorable experience took place near Yibin in Sichuan Province. Yu Lu arranged impressive logistics for our visit, including a convoy of buses and traffic control that allowed our group to travel smoothly between locations and to the Shouting Ceremony without delays.
The combination of cultural ceremony, industrial innovation at the Mingwei facilities, and the warm hospitality we received made this portion of our journey through Sichuan particularly special and insightful.
